The League supports the prevention of adult and child abuse as well as quality care for victims. The League also:
- Supports a behavioral science degree requirement for child protective service workers and training for professionals such as educators and law enforcement officials in recognizing child abuse.
- Supports an enforcement of a recommended maximum caseload per worker and case management coordination among agencies dealing with child abuse.
- Supports admission of videotaped testimony by children in court proceedings and that treatment for perpetrators be court-ordered, with strict enforcement provisions.
- Supports sexual abuse awareness and prevention as a part of safety program in schools, and establishing a Children's Trust Fund to provide financial resources for prevention and treatment of child abuse.
