Early Voting

WHY IS THIS A PRIORITY: Currently, Mississippi is one of the states that does not allow for early voting. Previous bills that sought to implement early voting failed.

LWV POSITION: LWV believes that early voting will increase voter participation. By increasing the convenience of voting, early voting gives citizens additional opportunities to cast their ballot if they are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day.
