The Gulf Coast League is an active and growing Local League including the counties of Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson. The Gulf Coast League meets to listen to speakers from the community, to study local issues, to develop policy positions, to advocate for League positions, and to conduct voter service projects. 2012: Making Democracy Work
Tuesday, March 20, 2012: We will hold a public education and fundraising luncheon at the IP Casino Resort Spa, our generous underwriter, on the topic of Making Democracy Work! Our featured speaker will be Stan Tiner, News Vice President of the Sun Herald.
We will post more information soon about how you can become involved in Making Democracy Work in our Gulf Coast community!

In the past, we have held public education events and local studies on the following issues:
2011: Transparency in Government
2010: Environmental concerns of the Richton Salt Domes

Membership Event
Thursday, January 26th at 5:30 p.m.

We will socialize over dinner and watch the powerful film Iron-Jawed Angels depicting the suffragettes' courageous fight to win the right to vote for American women. It's a spell binding two hour movie! Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share. The League will provide meats and drinks for the meal. Plan to bring a friend along!
