Tuesday, November 8, 2011 7:00 am - 7:00 pm   State GENERAL ELECTION. The LWVMS will be providing assistance and answering questions via the Election Hotline at (601) 355-7495. Be sure to vote!
Wednesday, November 30, 2011 4:00 pm online submission ONLY Consensus Report Due. All consensus statements are due to LWVUS on the study on the Role of the Federal Government in Education.

Tuesday, February 14, 2012 10:00am - 3:00pm Everywhere! LWV Birthday!. Celebrate the 92nd Birthday of the League of Women Voters by sharing how important the League is to you!

Jackson, MS 39202		 Legislative Visit Day. Come to be informed and advocate on pressing issues in our state...and bring a friend! Please call your Senator and Representative to make an appointment to meet with them at 1:00 pm or later at the Capitol!

Schedule of events: 10:15 am - Registration & Coffee
10:30 am - Legislative Update, Lobbying Do's & Don'ts, Issue of the Day
11:45 am - Lunch
12:30 pm - Leave for the Capitol (It is a short walk to the Capitol from the Public Policy Center's office. There also will be transportation for those who need a ride to and from the Capitol.)
1:00 pm - Meet with your Legislators, Visit committee meetings and sessions
2:15 pm - LWVMS Board Meeting - Everyone's invited!

Jackson, MS 39201		 2012 State Council. Council is our biennial meeting where we provide opportunities to learn about and discuss current state and national issues. We also hold a brief state meeting to adopt our yearly budget and assess progress on our biennial program items. All League members are encouraged to attend. Please invite dynamic women (and men!) who are interested in working for good government and responsible public policies!
