Campaign Finance

WHY IS THIS A PRIORITY: Every year the flow of money into elections becomes harder to track and harder to determine its source.

LWV POSITION: LWV support public disclosure of campaign contribution of money, goods and services, as well as the disclosure of financial interest of public officials, both elected and appointed.

FACT: Campaign cost have skyrocked, resulting in constant fun raising and driving candidates toward contributions from special interest.

Fact: There is an undue influence of special interest on officials and unfair advantage for incumbents.
